Pettit National Ice Center Announcement

USA Speed Skating May 30, 2008

After playing a key role in the financial turnaround of the Pettit
National Ice Center, Executive Director Cindy Yomantas announced she
is leaving the organization.

"I am tremendously proud of the work we accomplished at the Pettit
Center during the last five years. Certainly we faced some
well-publicized challenges. But through hard work we turned it around.
We secured new sponsors, attracted new clients, launched new
programming and recently started winning new grants," said Yomantas.
"I think I get the biggest kick out of knowing I'm leaving the Center
with its first-ever reserve account that now totals more than $180,000."

Yomantas added, "While there undoubtedly is more good news to come for
the Pettit, the schedule has been non-stop for five years and I'm
ready for a break."

Charles Henderson, Chairman of the Board of the Pettit Center,
expressed gratitude for Yomantas' effort in positioning the Center so
that it was able to purchase its facility from the State of Wisconsin
more than a year ago in January 2007. He also commended Yomantas for
her leadership of the organization through the critical first year of
ownership.

"Cindy brought a level of promotion and creativity to the Center that
was particularly helpful in expanding our involvement in the
community. We saw this with our skating programs, to be sure, but
also in completely new areas of Center activity. Two examples were the
shareholder meeting of WE Energies held at the Center, and the
agreement with the Badgerland Striders running club to make the Center
their home facility."

After a year-long effort, Yomantas also recently secured the
opportunity for the Pettit Center to become the new home of the US
National Speedskating Museum and Hall of Fame.

Yomantas said she will continue to work with the Pettit Center in a
transition role through August, focusing on sponsorship sales and
fundraising.

"Leading the Pettit Center through this critical period in its history
has been one of the best experiences of my career," said Yomantas. "I
learned a great deal working with Chuck Henderson and the Board, and
wish the Center the best."
