Reutter is a fast-rising star in short track aiming to make her first U.S. Olympic Team. In racking up top fives at the last two World Championships, Reutter has shown that she can compete with the Asian powers. She is a medal threat in the 1500m (No. 5 in the world) and the 1000m (No. 6 in the world).
Personal
Reutter traveled three hours every weekend from Champaign to St. Louis to train as a youth and has recently returned to St. Louis to give coaching clinics. In 2005, she won three gold medals at the U.S. Championships at age 17. She burst onto the senior scene as a 19-year-old in 2007, winning her first World Cup medal and sweeping the U.S. Championships in the 500m, 1000m, 1500m and 3000m to run away with the overall title.
She enjoys movies - "Cool Runnings" is her favorite - books and shopping. Her favorite musical artists are Kanye West, Metro Station, Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and Kings of Leon. She would like to become a personal trainer, a registered dietician and have a fitness show on TV one day.
